A little about me...

My training

Thank you for taking the time to visit Embrace Hope.

After nearly 30 years in Emergency Medical Services, serving as both an Advanced Care Paramedic and an Ambulance Dispatcher, I felt a growing pull toward supporting people beyond the immediate crisis. Over the past several years, I have volunteered with my ambulance service’s Critical Incident Stress Debriefing team, as well as with the Spiritual Care team at Royal Inland Hospital, while pursuing additional training to deepen my ability to support individuals impacted by trauma.

What began as a complementary role gradually became a clear vocational direction. Counselling emerged as a natural next step, leading me to complete my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and transition fully into this field.
