Anxiety

Anxiety often operates on multiple levels, such as the following: physiological activation, persistent worry, and learned patterns of avoidance that reinforce the cycle over time. I work with anxiety using evidence-based approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), alongside strategies that address the body’s stress response.
Together, we identify and challenge unhelpful thinking patterns, while gradually building tolerance for situations that feel overwhelming. Where anxiety is rooted in past experiences, we also incorporate trauma-informed work to reduce reactivity at its source. The goal is not simply to manage anxiety in the moment, but to increase confidence, flexibility, and a sense of control in daily life.
