Depression

Depression can affect how you think, feel, and engage with the world, thoughts and behaviours that often lead to withdrawal, low motivation, and a loss of meaning or direction. In therapy, I use structured, evidence-based approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to address the cognitive and behavioural patterns that maintain depression, while also exploring underlying emotional and relational factors.
Where relevant, I incorporate trauma-informed and attachment-based perspectives to understand how past experiences may be shaping current mood and self-perception. The work focuses on restoring momentum, rebuilding a sense of agency, and reconnecting with areas of life that have become difficult to access.
