Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT)

Skills for Emotional Resilience
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) is an evidence-based therapy that combines skills training with mindfulness to help clients manage intense emotions, improve interpersonal effectiveness, and reduce self-destructive behaviours. The name dialectical comes from the idea that two opposite things can be true at the same time.
DBT emphasizes balance, accepting experiences as they are while actively working toward positive change. This approach is particularly effective for emotional dysregulation, trauma-related distress, and relationship challenges, empowering clients to build resilience and create more stable, fulfilling lives. DBT is particularly useful for those coping with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD).
